Research

  • Research Computing Group - Boulder,CO - Spring 2011 to Present

    High Performance Computing Researcher

Working under Dr. Thomas Hauser, Director of Research Computing, to design distributed and parallel solutions to run on the new supercomputer at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Janus.

Currently optimizing fluid models for a parallel file system and using GPUs to accelerate the processing of fluid image data.

Added support to the PCGNS library for file sizes above 2GB.

  • S.Q.U.A.D. - Boulder,CO - Fall 2009 to Spring 2011

    Software Engineer

This program is dedicated to designing a quad-rotor aerial vehicle that can safely navigate an indoor area without the use of GPS. My contribution to this group has been though writing initial project and funding proposals followed by writing software and integrating with available software to allow a quad-rotor UAV to fly autonomously. Currently working on implementing a cross platform network framework to control multiple UAVs.

  • Bunch Lab - Graphene NEMS - Boulder,CO - Summer 2010

    Undergraduate Researcher

Worked in a nanomaterials lab under Professor Scott Bunch and PH.D candidate Luda Wang investigating properties of graphene. Through the measurement of graphene's resonance frequency under various circumstances we were able to demonstrate the viability of porous grapheme films to perform gas and chemical separation.
